Greetings from Mexico!  We are having a wonderful summer and so excited to see how God is continuing to change lives.  A few days ago we were talking to one of our Angels and they were telling us how exciting it has been learning about God and the Bible as they are attending Bible School.  We love to hear how God is using the youth we have been working with in ministry.

Attached is our latest newsletter to assist you in knowing what is happening in San Vicente and beyond.

May God richly bless you

Hilliker Letter June 2019

Hello from the Hillikers,

We are excited for the ministry opportunities the Lord has before us! It was a blessing to serve alongside MMM missionaries, Dr. Alvaro and Soledad Avila, in Cabo last week.  To see photos of the trip to Cabo, click on this facebook link…https://www.facebook.com/erin.waynehilliker/posts/10217998878097815

And now we are off to join in the ministry of Clínica La Esperanza in northern Baja for the remainder of the summer.

Thank you!

June 2019 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

We pray you are well!  We hope you had a nice Father’s Day weekend!  Our Sunday was full!  I had a chance to lead worship with the band (which was totally outside of my comfort zone without Buky by my side) and Buky preached a message about the love of our Heavenly Father.  We finished off the afternoon eating fish tacos with Buky’s family.  It was a blessed day!

Please be praying for my brother-in-law, Pastor Jr.  He is serving in Cuba this week with a group from Mexican Medical led by Amy Fuller.

We hope you enjoy the attached newsletter that goes into more detail about the spring teams and ministry at La Esperanza.  We continue to make preparations for our summer teams that will be arriving in July.

Thanks so much for your interest in our ministry!

God bless you!

May Newsletter

May was another busy month for us here in Loreto, but very exciting as we have had Adriana Payton-Kruska and Gill Kruska with us providing teaching in four churches on ‘How to manage or avoid Diabetes’…  Also our Pastor’s Fellowship has gone over another hurdle here in Loreto during this past month, and so we have formed a new group called ‘Agape’ – hopefully all of the Pastors will join with us now…

In addition our English Church attendance has dwindled as many people leave Loreto for the summer, but we will resume in the fall as people return…

Please pray for our next outreach in the Santa Rosalía Prison as we are encountering a couple of frustrations that we are trying to work out… But as in the past, the Lord brings everything together for His glory – so we are anticipating another wonderful time in the prison this month…

Attached is our Report with photos and details…  Thank you again for your prayers and support!

Warmly,

Don & Lorraine

Greetings from a dusty small town in Baja California.   Even though this past winter and spring were cooler than normal the good part is that we got more rain than we have had in several years.    The hills were green but now that the rain has ended they are turning their normal summer brown very quickly.

Just this morning I was visiting with a local pastor and he was telling me about their latest new church start.  Both the young men leading this new “mission” have gone to Mission’s school and we are encouraged by their excitement to not only live for Jesus but to serve God in a full time role.   Both of these young men were involved in drugs when they were younger and god changed their lives.  Now they just want to serve God.

We have attached our latest update so you know what is happening and how you can pray for us.  Thank you for your encouragement, prayers and support.  You are valued and appreciated.

A simple act of kindness creates an endless ripple

Hello from the Hillikers,

We’ve finished language school!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Guanajuato learning to live in a new culture. But now we’re excited for the next phase of training and learning and the coming experiences God has for us with Mexican Medical.

Here’s a snippet from our last month in Guanajuato. Thank you again for praying us through language school! Now…we get to practice using what we learned!

Hello Friends,

Thank you so much for your interest in our ministry at Clínica La Esperanza!  Thank you for partnering with us through friendship, prayers, serving with us and/or financial gifts.  God has been doing great things at La Esperanza!  We spent March and April there and served with two caravan teams.  We are at the Mexican Medical office in Lemon Grove (San Diego County) for three weeks and will be heading back to Mexico at the end of the month to serve with more teams.  Keep praying because God is answering!  Thank you for your encouragement!  We hope you are blessed by reading about all that God is doing in our May newsletter!

God bless you!
