| Joint Mission Trip of U.S. & Mexican Churches |
|
|
Sixty-plus people from Dayton, Ohio; Roseburg, Oregon; and San Vicente, Baja California, combined to form a team to serve a church in Ojos Negros. (East of Ensenada)
With temperatures over 100, this international team held children's ministry in the mornings at the park, put on a health fair in the afternoon, and worked on the church building all day. When we left, a new sanctuary and bathrooms were nearly complete.
This is a great example of how I believe God intended for the church to function: team members from different locations and nations working together to the glory of God.
Lynne and I were so blessed to have Pastor Mike fom Washington Heights willing to commit to this adventure even though we could not give him details
about how it would all work.
Praise God for a national church willing to reach out to their own people. The San Vicente church is already planning their next missions trip. PTL!!
