Dubie Ávila was born in Chiapas, Mexico at the Hospital “El Buen Pastor”, which is part of Mexican Medical network. She is the daughter of Dr. Álvaro & Soledad Ávila, who have been serving the Lord as missionaries in Cabo San Lucas since 1996.

Dubies’ family is from Puebla. Her parents became believers when she was very young. They then joined the Mexican Medical team as missionaries. She grew up helping in the ministry with her parents, and God put in her heart to serve her community, too. Specifically, she had a desire to work with the elderly.

Growing up in ministry in the medical field, Dubie got her degree in physiotherapy. So it has been wonderful for her to be able to use this knowledge to help people in the community, especially the elderly, for which she had deeply longed. She currently serves in Cabo San Lucas and has had the opportunity to help in other communities, too.

Currently, Dubiel supports several community soup kitchens for children and various missions throughout Baja California Sur, bringing medicine, clothing, and food, as well as disease prevention talks. She is a Sunday school teacher and helps in the cleaning ministry at the church she attends.

One of her goals is to form a Seniors’ Club to help them stay physically and mentally active, and most importantly, to share the love of God so they can be saved and know Him more.
