Summer Missionary

Short-Term Missionaries
Consider serving for 6 months to 2 years as a short-term missionary.
Career Missionaries
We are always looking for more full-time missionaries who have a heart to share Christ with the Mexican people.
If you choose to serve for a longer term, you will develop a deeper understanding of who God is during this experience. Serving the people in Mexico will be an unforgettable experience of learning what it means to love others through service. You will have the potential to build a lasting relationship through serving the Mexican people. The people of Mexico have a way of capturing the heart, so a part of you will always remain in Mexico.
Mexican Medical Ministries’ purpose is to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the various age groups of Mexican people through a variety of ministries. Mexican Medical Ministries has several ministry sites throughout Baja California, Mexico. Each of our sites is unique in its approach to ministry. There are sites which are located in urban areas, along the coast near beaches and in the rural farm areas. Also, the types of people groups around each of our sites are unique. They will range from migrant workers from mainland Mexico to white-collar workers from urban centers, or middle class city people to people who are from the lower end of the economic strata.

Mexican Medical Ministries has several ministry sites throughout Baja California, Mexico. Each of our sites is unique in its approach to ministry. They will range from migrant workers from mainland Mexico to white-collar workers from urban centers, or middle class city people to people who are from the lower end of the economic strata.
Many of our missionaries use a Vacation Bible School (VBS) to reach people. Other outreach projects include door-to-door distribution of tracts and Bibles, one-on-one visitation in the towns and work camps, Bible studies, mobile medical clinics, health fairs, and the showing of Christian films and videos. In addition, other outreach projects could include forms of drama, music, sports and recreation.
Our missionaries are involved in many construction projects, typically at hospitals/clinics, site facilities, local church, or houses for a pastor or doctor. If you have construction expertise, it will be used during your time at the ministry site. If you do not have any construction experience, that is fine; your area missionary will train you for any jobs that you will have to do.
Summer Missionaries
Summer Missionaries are vital to the work of missionaries that serve with Mexican Medical Ministries. They will be working both with physical projects and with spiritual endeavors. These activities will at times stretch the intern, to grow in their relationship with the Lord and with their fellow missionaries.
Summer Missionaries will be serving others through a variety of opportunities that will include being a guide, directing group activities, assisting in construction, or simply taking out the garbage and washing the floor. They will be called upon to serve and do whatever it takes to assist the missionary in the ongoing ministry in Mexico.

Short-Term Missionaries (6 Months – 2 Years)
Do you want to serve for more than a week (see Join a Team) or a few months (see Summer Missionaries above), but aren’t sure if you’re called long-term to the mission field?
Consider serving for 6 months to 2 years as a short-term missionary. As a short term missionary you will be encouraged and mentored as you find your own ministry to the people of Mexico. You serve alongside seasoned and experienced full-time missionaries who share their experience with you and help you determine what God’s plan is for your life.
