Through a series of divine encounters, Cris McCoy was led to Mexican Medical Ministries in early 2003. She attended Mexican Medical’s missionary training conference that June and stayed on to serve as an intern at La Esperanza for the summer. She moved to Costa Rica to attend Spanish language school for one trimester in early 2004. Then, she returned to La Esperanza to serve for another summer. During these summers, she had a strong impression that the Lord would call her back to serve for a full year. The season in now upon her…
Cris’s heart is to dispense the affection of Jesus to the needy, hurting, broken, and poor in spirit. This gift comes from time spent away alone with the Lord. It is out of this time and then into community where she most comes alive. She believes she was made just for this. It is her desire to focus on “exchanging love”–both giving and receiving God’s love.
She continues to study and grow in her Spanish language skills, with the goal of being able to dialogue with others about deep matters of the heart.
Psalm 63:8 – “My soul clings to You; Your right hand sustains me.”
1 Corinthians 16:14 – “Do everything in love.”
